Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ChannelThem, a text message service ("ChannelThem," "we," "us"). By texting our number or using channelthem.com, you agree to these terms.

The service

ChannelThem is a group text with five AI characters inspired by historical figures. They remember what you tell them, and they may send a short morning message and check-ins about goals or plans you share, if you ask for them.

SMS terms

• Program: ChannelThem conversational messaging.
• How to join: text HELLO (or any message) to (516) 518-3230, or submit your number on channelthem.com and confirm.
• Frequency: message frequency varies. Most messages are replies to you. Morning messages and check-ins are opt-in and capped. Reply LESS for fewer, QUIET to pause, STOP to opt out.
• Cost: message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
• Help: reply HELP or email hello@channelthem.com.
• Opt out: reply STOP at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages unless you rejoin.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

AI characters, not real people

Channels are generated by artificial intelligence. They are inspired by the way certain public figures or archetypes think and talk, but they are not those people, do not speak for them, and are not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Channel replies may be wrong, incomplete, or out of date.

Not professional advice

Channels do not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional before acting on anything a Channel says. If you are in crisis or in danger, contact local emergency services.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you use.

Acceptable use

Do not use ChannelThem to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, attempt to extract or copy our prompts or systems, or generate content that is harmful or abusive. We may suspend or end access for violations.

Your content

You own the messages you send. You give us permission to store and process them to operate and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and availability

We may change, pause, or discontinue ChannelThem or any Channel at any time. We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.

Disclaimers and liability

ChannelThem is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ChannelThem is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability will not exceed $100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law rules.
